So, it's been a month or so since the last exam and a few weeks since I graduated from SP... Yay!

Next up, it's either Uni or work...

Chances of getting into Massey is so slim right now because of the postponed interview :(

So i might have to start finding a FULL-TIME job.. but in the food industry line, jobs are limited unless you work as the 'factory workers'....haiz...

So for now, temp job it shall be...

I miss my girls like ALOT....I know some are going through unexpected things but i hope she stays strong... Can't wait to meet up with my girls... (To any of my girls reading this, I MISS YOU!!!)

HAHAHA....I really wish the 4 of us can stay together again... another holiday maybe eh? hehe

oh wells..tmrw i'm working and it continues for the next 6 days before i get 2 off days :D

So now final year exams are all over and once the results are out, my future will be determined.. Till then im still floating on many questions of where to go, what to do and how to carry on with life after poly...

Last week was the graduation trip for some of us and hell yeah i had fun! After all the brain-torturing years, it was time we let ourselves go.. Hahaha.. But now that trip is over too and we're all mindin our owb businesses (how sad!)

I wish we are still schooling becoz then we Could see each other more often!! Hahahaha

Haiz.. How lonely and boring life can be wen u r at home... I tot i wud enjoy this feeling but no, im always moving ard d hse becoz im so used to doing smtg...

wow..it's been a long time since i blogged..

hmm..gimme some time to catch up on myself,shall we?

Firstly, its been more than 2 months since i came back from Dalian, China and oh boy, how i enjoyed my times there. though i miss home & the loved ones, i still cherish and treasure the experience gained from that overseas immersion trip..!

and now, I or rather, We are having YOG break for 3 weeks..supposed to be a holiday but for us, it's catch up time for our FYP which is currently going towards the brighter side already! (YAY! for that)

soon, Hari Raya is coming but after so many things that has happened, i somehow lost the mood, i guess? Everybody is bz finding new clothes baking goodies but i only want one thing this year, i want our big family to be one and united again. it's sad when i imagined how it's gonna be when 10 september comes. haiz.

exams are around the corner too. so i guess not much celebration then..hmmmph..

i've summarised my life very vaguely but i'm happy i let it out:)

What is Group Work?

“Group work means the collaboration of a number of individuals to undertake some kind of project.”

I feel that lecturers' should really educate the the students on this.

You see, there’s always 2 sides to every story. One good and the other,bad.

In group work, the good part is that your workload is SUPPOSED to be REDUCED because the work is divided among a few people. And if you want a good grade, of course you have to do a GOOD job and BE RESPONSIBLE.

The bad part is that, not every single member of the group will think this way. Excuses were given and they expect others to understand. For example, the due date of the assignment is due a few days before term test and because it’s a term test, students have to study to do the tests. Therefore they prioritize what is more important to them (THE TERM TEST!) and the quality of the assignment is as bad as the phrase “as long as i contribute something (which most of the time is RUBBISH), can already!)”. Therefore the collator, sadly enough, has to STUDY AND SETTLE the assignment ALONE because asking the rest to re-do will take a very long time and it usually comes back ALMOST the same. Because the collator was nice enough, she/he did (NEVER) tell this to the lecturer because 1) she/he will feel bad 2)it’s no use because the lecturer will only talk to the certain people and if they don’t change then 3) the friendship/relationship/whatever will get strained and it will awkward which is why this lead to point (1).

The collator is then caught in a dilemma where she have to save her grades and also her ‘friendship’.

Question is why can’t they just be considerate and think about others too, instead of themselves? why can’t they jus do a DECENT job in contributing to the GROUP WORK??!

If this happens once or twice, it’s tolerable. But not if it happens FOR 2 FUCKING YEARS!! I guess there’s a limit to everything.

~~i’m sorry. i never meant to be ‘bad’ or ‘paotoh kia’(however u spell it!) but sometimes i don’t think i deserve all the latenights and burnmidnightoils. haiz. :’(~~

So 2010 is here. Happy new year to all of you…

2009 ended well but the start of 2010 is not a happy one, because here i am still up, doing assignments. Great! anyways, looking on the brighter side of life, tomorrow i’ll be baking cookies! you may ask, how is that the brighter side of life. baking has been my stress-reliever since O levels.. at first i thought it was tiring and tedious but as i keep doing i realised i felt happier and more relieved in a way that no one can ever make me feel. and when other people eats it and compliment (or sometimes criticise) it makes me happier. haha. ok i’m weird, whatever!

i want to start new year resolutions but when i think again, it’s crappy. cause half of the list will be forgotten once January ends. :/ so i guess it’s better if i sort out the things in my life than figuring out what i want to (or think i will) do. :)

School’s reopening next week and it seems like i spent my holidays in school! dammit. so i’m not looking forward to next monday, seriously. :(

gotta get back to chem eng datasheet now. OMG!

wow. first week of school have just passed by and i spent my days mostly in SP. dammit. our project was thought to be almost complete until we changed the formulation and here we are, back to square one, still experimenting! worst part is we still have to do a report and a presentation. to be honest i’m so exhausted mentally and physically. :(

datasheets and assignments are not helping either…

and today, went back to school to do the project again. luckily we finalised ONE of the recipes! yay to us! hahah.. but the CCF still struggling:(

tommorrow is Mr Fireman’s Passing Out Ceremony meaning his last day in CDA before he goes into Alexandra fire station. when he told me this, i realised it’s been almost a year since he first enrolled and how time really flies..

even though it’s school holidays, it doesn’t feel like holidays to me because of the workload. it’s sad.

On a random note, i need a lobang for a new job. cause i really cannot stand ppl in Suntec Pepper Lunch anymore. Super sickening can..

let’s have more class outings before we all et separated,please? cause even though the latest one we had was a bit mundane, i still enjoyed it..hahah… maybe class outing without jerome? eh but cannot la.. later nobody to bully! LOL

Hari Raya Haji was spent in Hougang and JB. Bonded with the family but more with my computer because of the irritating assignments..

And today i went to my primary school for brother’s P1 orientation. Met Mdm Laila and she was so shocked to see me that she kept saying ‘Ok la. Bye’ then turning back and ask me questions like where you studying now and stuff. Super cute la!

very overdue photos but who cares… hahah. met quennie and we had FREE Swensen’s gelato :)) it was raspberry and cookies’n cream. delicious! thanks to quennie’s friend who was working at that time. didn’t get his name though.

and talking about overdue, i had this letter from SP library asking me to return my overdue books. it stated there OVERDUE REMINDER 4!

hahah! i shall find a date to return it to school soon :p

well, now that weiling have left me for funan, i was alone at work. lucky i had nurul to accompany me. and so, one day, they asked me to extend for 2 more hours. i then said i was hungry. nurul, without much hesitation asked, you want crabstick, seafood? we have some left. and i was like, SURE!. and she cooked some chicken marinated with teriyaki sauce and chilli powder and i cook for myself butter prawn (k, its actually prawn cooked with butter). but i sprinkled some powder and pepper until i liked the taste! woohoo! free food!

Food Poisoning

Oh good gracious. It 2 days away from Hari Raya and I’m having these symptoms. I’m supposed to go see doctor today but the pain took its toll on me. Wasn’t able to move much:/ Hope it’ll all go away by tmr. Really hope it will go away….

Another failed attempt

Since i won’t be working the whole week, i tried to make myself busy. And so i started making Hari Raya “delights”. But it didn’t turn out well. I tried making Apricot Wheatgerm biscuits. they were delicious but appearance-wise, not so nice.

First i tried putting them on the oven tray but they turned out to spread so big that they look like cookies.

then i tried putting them inside cup cases. nice, but the amount needed is too little and it’s time-consuming. i started at 9pm and i thought that it will last me 2 hours if i continue..and so

i spread them all inside the tray, as seen in the picture.

and then i cut them into smaller pieces. it looks so good and i know that it won’t last for 5 days cause the people in my house are all off-duty for fasting! so i just hope it will last.

on a brighter note, i’m going serangoon tmr to do my eyebrows..FINALLY! yay! so excited :D

tommorrow's first day of fasting month. wow! can't wait even though i don't plan to celebrate Hari Raya this year or any other year since i list my beloved grandmother.

as i look at the clouds moving in the sky, it reminds me of life. not every day is a sunny day. sometimes it rains, sometimes its humid. life is like that too. sometimes it makes you happy, sometimes it doesn’t.

today was a long day for me. firstly had to finish packing up the wardrobe. my clothes alone excluding my sister’s takes up one big box. enough to fit a 24 inch tv. like omg. but then mostly are undersized clothes which i was lazy to throw away. then the cabinet. full of junks. from notes from secondary school to stupid diaries. i don’t know why i even wrote them in the first place. it’s funny to read what i wrote. brings back all the memories i had. but past is past.

school’s starting as per normal tmr and i dread to go to school! because the first lesson of the day tmr is biochem practical! aaaah! i rather go attachments please! plus 3 more reports to be completed. i’m exhausted. really exhausted.

mr fireman isn’t helping too. he’s sick and remains quiet all day long. i feel so clingy just because i had to call him and ask him if he’s okay because he never reply my messages. why can’t he just send me simple message saying he’s fine? pathetic.

goodness gracious.. having food chemistry practical every week is really draining and killing me. it’s just too short a time to be able to understand the experiment and do the datasheets. what’s worst is that i have more than 5 practical this semester. it’s really killing me. every module has its own practical.

to make matters even more worst, some of the modules has more than one lecturer teaching. i understand that it is a heavy module if one lecturer were to teach everything. but it’s really confusing me. from the notes to the way and things they teach. some have language problem while some are just plain dry modules.

i want to give up but i cannot. because i just cannot. it really sucks to be me now. and period is not helping me in any way to make things better.

many things have happened in my life. good things, bad things unexpected things even. sometimes i wonder Why do they happen? What has it all got to do with me,my past or even my future?

Sometimes when you’re sad, you asked yourself,”Why can’t i just stay happy all the time?” or “Why must all this happen to me?”

In life, there’s no such thing as justice or fairness. Like we always say, life is never fair. But i think the world can be fair if we CHOOSE to make it fair. For example, rich people who earn billions of dollars in a year should help to buy food and provide shelter for those people who have to eat from the bins, the leftovers of food.

if i was rich, i would do that. i would provide food such as rice,potatoes, food that can give you lots of energy to those people. watching them starve to death just breaks my heart.

I am lucky and grateful to be born into a middle-class family where i get to learn the meaning of suffering,patience,tolerance and even humility. Not forgetting togetherness, happiness and gratefulness.

If i were to be born again, i want to be born the way i was born.

school has started once again. and its no different from Year One. Tougher even. By next week i will have formal reports, assignments and lab datasheets to complete. This excludes homework and all other shit. sigh.

The fact that there is more than one teacher for every module just adds to the stress because we have two sets (or even more) of lecture notes for each module. and we have to bring the correct ones that match the lecturer. like what the heck. just when i thought Year Two is going to be “better”.

anyways, got a new hairstyle now. Yay to myself cause i’ve been wanting to cut since..last year? haha.
